What’s been happening:

A university degree is not the sole base for success, but just the initial step to get to the top. After graduating in May 2006, I was offered a position as a Human Resources Assistant for a conductive textiles manufacturing company. I used all the knowledge I obtained while at PSU. I read the notes, which I still have, from my LIR courses. I became a professional member of SHRM. I read articles related to HR legislation and attended seminars. After a couple of years of hard work, I was promoted to HR manager. As a HR manager, I work very close with top management. My HR duties include benefits administration, all cycles of recruiting, training and development, legislation, and other day to day HR related tasks. As of right now, I am in the process of obtaining my Masters degree in Human Resources Administration this coming fall. My long term goal is to obtain my PhD in Human Resources. In regards to my personal life, I have a 1.5 year old baby boy named Anthony Jalen. On March 31st, 2009 my boyfriend proposed to me after one year of dating. We are planning in getting married two years from now. God bless everyone and best of luck for those who lost their jobs due to the economic crisis. NEVER GIVE UP!
